Our Four Year Old Programs
Classes: Based on your child's age on Sept. 1st
Acworth Preschool ABeka

The 4K class meets either four days a week on Monday thru Thursday or three days a week Mon/Wed/Fri . The children are very busy in these classes getting prepared for kindergarten. They learn all of their letters and sounds and practice writing them; they learn to write their names and numbers; they learn about God’s world through arts and crafts and other hands-on activities; these classes also engage in puzzles, educational games, outdoor play, and weekly music.

  • Our four's come either M-W-F or M-TH from 9:15 – 1:15.

  • There are 14 to 16 children in a class with a teacher and an aide.

  • They enjoy music one or two days a week.

  • The M-W-F class goes to chapel twice a month.

    The M-TH class goes to chapel twice a week.

  • There are two curriculums offered for the fours.

  • The M-W-F and some M-TH classes are theme based.
    They study Science (Five Senses, Dinosaurs, Magnets) Math includes Number Recognition, Counting, Matching, Sequencing, Patterns and Sorting.

  • The fours participate in the Christmas program for the parents, put on a Circus, and have a  Mother’s Day Lunch.

  • The ABeka curriculum (M-TH only) is a more structured pre-reading program. The emphasis is on language arts and in Jan. the children go into reading groups.
